This role consults with our Securian Financial Network (SFN) channel partner firms, financial professionals, and staff to further the success of business unit strategy through the coaching, training, leadership development, and serving as a liaison to distribution partners.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Help financial professionals make their practices more scalable and increase sales across all product lines, as well as grow revenue, grow their client base, and increase productivity
Ensure that the distribution network and Securian’s goals and visions remain aligned to achieve mutual success
Build and develop relationships with both channel partners and field leadership teams, and home office associates across all business lines
Act as a resource for both financial professionals and home office associates to connect our field partners with the right individuals that can solve for their questions and problems
Lead projects or project steps within a broader project and assist with on-going activities or objectives within the division
Requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and basic knowledge of related job disciplines, not limited to, but including, financial professional practice business consulting and sales processes, funnels and conversations; client acquisition strategies and tactics; practice efficiency best practices across the financial services industry; CRM solutions, including Salesforce.com; trading and reporting software; etc.
Demonstrated ability working in a fast-paced environment, and previous experience successfully managing multiple priorities
Strong attention to detail
Strong communication skills to convey goals, needs, and wants and serve as a connector to match problems with the individuals who can solve those problems.
Must hold active FINRA Series 7 & 66 licenses. Need to obtain Series 24 licenses within 6 months. In addition to FINRA exams, fingerprinting and background checks are conducted.
Physical Job Requirements:
Ability to utilize keyboard, mouse and computer for up to 8 hours per day
Ability to work at least 40 hours per week
Ability to utilize phone for 4-6 hours per day
Ability to meet the physical demands of travel - approximately 20-25% a year. This includes the ability to operate a motor vehicle as well as an ability to utilize air travel
