As an enterprise Contingent Labor Program Manager, you will use your expertise and knowledge to lead the execution and strategy of our internal Contingent Workforce team and program. You will play a critical role in supporting the best team to fulfill our purpose; helping our customers build secure tomorrows.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Lead our temporary, contract and contingent workforce across Securian Financial, including strategy, team execution, and continuous improvement.
  • Use creative and cost-effective methods, based on evaluation and analyses of market trends, data and expertise.
  • Collaborate with HR partners, key stakeholders, and senior leadership across Securian Financial to continuously evolve the program to support business needs.
  • Develop and administer the processes and policies for the Contingent Workforce Program that are aligned with the business strategy.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external vendors; regularly meeting to ensure outcomes are met and communicate program policies and procedures. Regularly evaluate and explore vendor partners based on performance and business needs.
  • Partner with VMS program managers and recommend system enhancements and efficiencies.
  • Develop and oversee the development of communications for the Contingent Workforce Program, including educational collateral, and change management plans for HR projects; may include enterprise-wide projects or programs.


  • 8+ years experience leading a successful flexible workforce program
  • HR generalist experience including knowledge of employment laws
  • Experience with VMS and ATS systems
  • Program and project management experience
  • Vendor management experience

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with VNDLY or Workday
  • Leadership experience

    Physical Job Requirements:

  • Ability to utilize keyboard, mouse and computer for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Ability to work at least 40 hours per week.
  • Ability to utilize telephone/headsets for up to 8 hours per day.
