Logan Township Highway Foreman Logan Township, population of 12,413 is seeking a working Highway Foreman. Candidates must have at least 7 years experience in a progressively responsible supervisory capacity with highway maintenance or highway construction or any equivalent combination of experience and training. 
In addition to a demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in highway maintenance or highway construction, the successful candidate will have exceptional leadership, customer service skills and the ability to train and develop department personnel. 
Candidates must have a strong background in getting the job done accurately and efficiently, and the finanical acumen for budgeting and tracking departmental expenses. The ability to work with elected officials, municipal employees, residents, community leaders and the media is a necessity. 
The successful candidate must pass a physical including drug screening and a post offer pre-employment screening and a background check. Salary is dependent on qualifications and includes the Township's generous benefit package. Police Officer The Township of Logan will accept applications for the position of full-time police officer. Applications are available at the Police Department, 100 Chief Logan Circle, Altoona, PA, Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 4:30 PM, or online at www. logantownship-pa.gov. Telephone inquiries can be made by calling 814-949-3364. Applications must be returned to the Police Department by 4 PM on February 3, 2023. A non-refundable check or money order payable to "Logan Township" in the amount of $50.00 to cover testing fees must be attached to the application. 
Qualifications required on or before appointment as a police officer: Must be a U.S. Citizen; be a high school graduate or possess a General Educational Development (GED); be 21 years of age; possess and retain a valid PA operator's licence; successfully completed PA Act 120 training for municipal police officers; and become a resident of Blair County at the completion of the probationary period. Any applicant with prior military service must possess an honorable discharge. 
Starting salary $46,665 increasing yearly to full patrol salary of $84,575; medical, dental and vision benefits; 50% pension after 25 years; up to five weeks vacation; family sick time; individually assigned patrol car; uniform and equipment allowance, military buy-back, and up to $5,000 police academy reimbursement.
