Job Description

Oversees daily Laundry operations within corporate and resort guidelines to ensure quality standards to ensure total guests’ satisfactions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING:

  • Supervises and motivates all laundry personnel with daily supervision to include staffing, training discipline and scheduling
  • Visually monitors performance to ensure adherence to all services and productivity standards to provide guest satisfaction
  • Sorts and counts articles to verify inventory quantities
  • Responsible for maintaining chemical inventory
  • Prepares weekly schedule for Laundry personnel to ensure adequate staff
  • Assigns pickups of laundry from rooms and properties
  • Supplying Housekeeping Department with the correct inventory of linen and supplies for the buildings for checkouts
  • Ensures all equipment are working properly and cleaned on daily basis
  • Reports work orders when deficiency is noted, and maintenance is required in a timely manner
  • Ensure policies are administered fairly and consistently, disciplinary procedures and documentation are completed according to policy
  • Ensure the quality and productivity of Laundry Attendants and Wash Person are being met
  • Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
