Utilize Lean Six Sigma methodology
to design and develop
RTI's manufacturing and
fabrication methods, tools and systems.
Execute engineering tasks, including
compliance, driving lean initiatives and
achieving set metrics for medical
implants and instruments.
Prepare documentation and tools for
production runs and monitor production
runs to ensure quality
and health of the process.
Develop and test prototypes, tools,
fixtures, machinery and equipment used
in processes for cost reduction opportunities.
Conduct capability and statistical process
control studies to increase quality and
efficiency of manufacturing operations.
Monitor operational problems by
studying targets, modes, unit limitations
and unit performance.
Analyze the flow of materials and
information by applying quantitative tools and models.
Coordinate activity on production
lines required to qualify new
products and rate increases.
Improve production within product cost, throughput, and
Troubleshoot process and equipment
problems that hinder throughput or quality.
Minimum of a Master's degree in
Mechanical Engineering or
Technology or a
technical field and two years of
mechanical engineering experience
using Lean and Six Sigma tools for
electro-mechanical products in the
manufacturing industry required.
