As a member of the Employee Benefits Solutions team, you will be a key contributor, managing Group Insurance expenses, making recommendations to senior management, and communicating the results of your analysis to Group Insurance and corporate financial management. You will also be involved in strategic initiatives, estimating, and assessing the financial implications of various alternatives and helping to assisting in implementing the chosen alternative.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Serve as the primary liaison between Group Insurance and the shared solutions, corporate departments, and corporate FP&A. Communicate the business units’ planned volumes, initiatives and expense expectations and gain an understanding of the drivers behind changes to allocated expenses
Provide insights in expense deviations from budget and develop recommendations to management for action where appropriate. This includes close partnership with our service delivery management team and understanding implications on pricing and budgeting.
Partners with corporate and shared solutions areas to explain enterprise-wide deviations in allocated expenses, including understanding the implications of geography shifts and changes in allocation methods
Provide knowledge leadership to other associates within Group involved in expense analysis and reporting.
Lead the strategic expense portion Group Insurance’s annual goals and plans process
Perform insurance expense benchmarking studies to ensure full understanding of our expense management relative to our peers
Accounting, finance, and analytical skills with the ability to pay attention to detail while not losing sight of the bigger strategy.
Excellent communication and collaborative skills with all levels of management and other key stakeholders.
Advanced technical knowledge with Microsoft Office, especially Excel skills.
Requires the ability to understand the structure of the data within the financial and administration systems and review, modify, and create formulas/queries for capturing financial data.
Ability to effectively multi-task and meet tight deadlines
A self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently with limited oversight
Experience with SAP
Knowledge of life insurance concepts and products
Experience working in a matrix environment
Experience working with insurance industry expenses and shared enterprise administration services

Physical Job Requirements :
Ability to utilize keyboard, mouse and computer for up to 8 hours per day
Ability to work at least 40 hours per week
Ability to utilize telephone for 4-6 hours per day
Ability to perform grasping tasks throughout the entire work day
Ability to meet the physical demands of travel - approximately 4 times per year. This includes the ability to operate a motor vehicle as well as an ability to utilize air travel
