RN Wound Care Part Time

Overview

Northern Nevada State Veterans Homes is now hiring a Part Time Wound Care Nurse 

Responsible for the indepenent supervision of the delivery of care to a gorup of residents in nursing unit.  Assess residents needs in regards to woundcare, develop care plans. Work closely with physician in regards to woundcare needs and assessment. 

Maintain optimum resident care and comfort by demonstrating knowledge and skills. 

Perform only those activities which are within the scope of practice 

Ensure accurate documentation of all medical records and report forms. 

Respond to call lights and other resident needs 

Responsibilities

Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the resident and interdisciplinary care team. 

Define realistic and obtainable long and short term goals for residents, initiate appropriate nursing interventions. 

Implement plan of care consistently, efectively and cost efficienntly with focus on resident centered outcomes, but does not jeopardize safe, effective care delivery. 

Keep physician informed of residents conditions and notify physician of any significant changes in condition. 

Work collaboratively with health care professional. 

Qualifications

Active Nevada RN License 

Woundcare
