Our client is actively seeking a talented Senior Accounting Manager to work with a team located in Charlotte, NC. This is a permanent job opportunity with our client.

  • We are looking for an experienced manager to lead our clients' accounting team and help shape the operations of a responsibly growing business that has built an established operating model and attracted institutional capital while retaining a deliberately entrepreneurial culture.
  • They are a fast-growing company, and a successful candidate would demonstrate critical analysis skills to adapt to an expanding role as the organization continues to grow.
  • This position would report to their Controller and manage the team’s daily activities, which includes the listed primary responsibilities.
  • An individual in this role regularly interacts with business partners and must possess excellent communication skills with an ability to distill complex topics into audience-appropriate discussion.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent
  • Experience in both public and private corporate accounting environments
  • Experience designing and/ or implementing COSO-based control environments
  • Background in lending, fixed income, securitization, or similar activities
  • Exposure to Oracle NetSuite® or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree in finance or accounting (MBA preferred)
  • 8+ years accounting-related experience, and 4+ years supervisory experience
  • Technically savvy, with exceptional problem-solving and financial data analysis acumen coupled with strong MS Excel (or similar statistical software) skills
  • Extensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP applicable to both public and private entities
  • Ability to work both independently to push projects to completion as well as operate within a strong, collaborative team
  • Experience developing teams through coaching and mentoring
  • Extremely detail oriented and comfortable multi-tasking within a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable voicing views and opinions respectfully, particularly when those views do not necessarily align with the majority view
  • Demonstrable analytical skills, impeccable integrity and judgment, and the ability to communicate effectively with senior management team

A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $120K – 150K.

The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. The compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, such as skills and experience levels.
