Sr. Director, Ecommerce Engineering (Remote)

About the Role:

CrowdStrike is seeking a Sr. Director of Ecommerce Engineering. Reporting to the SVP, Platform Engineering, the successful candidate will be responsible for areas such as: the CrowdStrike app marketplace and monetization (in-app purchasing/micro-transactions/etc), developing new ways to approach product licensing, billing and entitlement across the entire product portfolio, all the backend analytics work to drive a better user experience and optimize engagement, conversion, cross-sell and up-sell. 

What You'll Need:

• B.Eng in Software Engineering or related field, or significant equivalent work experience

• Demonstrated track record of building a strong engineering team and engineering team management

• 12+ years of software engineering experience in all phases of a software development lifecycle

• 7+ years of hands-on management experience leading engineering teams including experience managing engineering directors and senior managers

• Broad experience with shipping high quality software in a cloud environment (AWS/GCP/Azure)

• Solid Experience in the ecommerce domain  

• Strong problem-solving skills with demonstrated passion for engineering excellence 

• Strong cross-group collaboration and interpersonal communication skills working with variety of roles including marketing, product management, UX, support and sales engineering

• Demonstrated ability to attract and hire talent and grow teams

• Experience working with remote teams and individuals while ensuring agility and code velocity

• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal

• Ability to communicate and articulate crisply at all levels from executive staff to engineers

• Broad general knowledge of the high-technology industry gained in larger enterprise software environments enhanced by ongoing awareness of R&D practices / technology advances

Bonus Points:  

• Experience in the security domain

• Experience with Kubernetes and Containers 

• OS Systems engineering experience
