Join three Glaucoma specialists in an established practice at the nationally recognized Davis Duehr Dean Clinic. Located in Madison, Wisconsin, Davis Duehr Dean, a division of SSM Health Dean Medical Group, is an established, multi-specialty eye institute that is fully equipped for a four member glaucoma practice. An adjacent full time outpatient surgical center, with a dedicated ophthalmic anesthesia team, an on-site, state of the art photography department with three professional ophthalmic photographers, and an ophthalmic diagnostic center support our glaucoma service as well as the entire division and allows for a high quality practice.
 SSM Health Davis Duehr Dean, a physician directed division, is comprised of 22 ophthalmologists and 33 optometrists who serve 19 locations in Southern Wisconsin. In addition to glaucoma, Davis Duehr Dean has specialists in comprehensive ophthalmology, cornea, oculoplastics, and external disease, pediatrics, refractive surgery, and retina. The purpose of this position is to provide leadership for Outdoor Education programs, to continuously improve Outdoor Education programs and to expand to Black Diamond Camp. This position will also support other Warm Beach Camp programs and all facets of the Warm Beach Camp Ministry. This position shall at all times work cooperatively with colleagues, guests and supervisors. Regular attendance is essential for this position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Program Development:
<ul>
<li>Work collaboratively with Camp leadership and others to develop Outdoor Education programs</li>
<li>Develop outdoor education curriculum.</li>
<li>Collaboratively develop goals and measurements of effectiveness for program components.</li>
<li>Work collaboratively with schools to identify program goals, classes, program schedule, etc. for each group.</li>
<li>Develop curriculum and programs for Black Diamond Camp.</li>
<li>Build staff teams at Warm Beach Camp and Black Diamond Camp to carry out the Outdoor Education programs.</li>
<li>Work with the Business Development Team to increase the number of schools attending our camps for Outdoor Education.</li>
<li>Work collaboratively with the other program directors, incorporating desired elements of environmental education and stewardship initiatives into other programs.</li>

<li>With appropriate outside input, maintain a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.</li>
<li>Maintain the fiscal sustainability of the program.</li>
<li>Enhance Warm Beach Camp's and Black Diamond Camp's connection to relevant agencies, locally and nationally.</li>

2. Program Implementation and Evaluation

<li>Plan schedules, obtain resources, organize assets, and communicate effectively with other departments at camp.</li>
<li>Collaborate with camp staff in providing exceptional service to groups.</li>
<li>Provide safe experiences for guests and staff; adhere to Warm Beach Camp Ministries Safety Plan.</li>
<li>Develop partnerships and volunteers as a resource base for program/curriculum development and volunteerism.</li>
<li>Serve as team leader for Outdoor Education programs.</li>

<li>Support the marketing and communication of programs in a way consistent with and in cooperation with Warm Beach Camp Ministries brand guidelines and marketing team.</li>

3. Staffing and Supervision

<li>Follow Warm Beach Camp Ministries personnel policies and guidelines in the selection, training, supervising, evaluating, and releasing of personnel.</li>
<li>Fully support and engage with the staff recruiting process.</li>
<li>Serve as field supervisor for program interns as needed.</li>
<li>Maintain healthy relationships with staff, campers, parents, and volunteers.</li>
<li>Fully engage in the utilization of volunteers to accomplish program goals.</li>
<li>Implement Warm Beach Camp Ministries Safety Plan.</li>

4. Facility Care and Development

<li>Maintain and enhance the interpretive elements of camp property with special attention to Warm Beach Camp's wastewater treatment plant area.</li>
<li>Work collaboratively with Camp leadership in the on-going development of facilities appropriate to the programs being offered.</li>
<li>Seek ways to make improvements to existing facilities consistent with quality control standards of the organization.</li>
<li>Responsibly care for equipment and supplies for maximum stewardship.</li>
<li>Work with Camp leadership involving environmental stewardship initiatives ministry-wide.</li>

5. Other

<li>Serve cooperatively with the Warm Beach Camp Ministries program teams for the success of all camp programs and guest groups.</li>

<li>Attend Manager meetings regularly.</li>

POSITION CLASSIFICATION

We are seeking Lead Teachers to join our Infant/Toddler and Preschool programs at the following campuses:

<li><a href="https://georgetownhill.com/daycare-locations/bells-mill-potomac-campus/" target="_blank">Bells Mill</a> - Located in Potomac suburbs near Cabin John and Bells Mill Elementary Schools </li>
<li><a href="https://georgetownhill.com/daycare-locations/montgomery-square-campus/" target="_blank">Montgomery Square</a> - Located on Falls Road with close proximity to Interstate 270, Montrose Rd and Wootton Parkway</li>
<li><a href="https://georgetownhill.com/daycare-locations/potomac-village-campus/" target="_blank">Potomac Village</a> - Located in the heart of Potomac Village, near the intersection of Falls and River Roads, with public transportation access to the 2T or #47 bus available</li>
</ul>
This position pays based on experience and appropriate credentials
Available positions are full time and the hours are M-F 9am-6pm. Your role will be to meet our students' individual needs and foster each child's independence in a family-like environment of trust and warmth.

What You Will Do:
<ul>
<li>Provide for the educational needs and interests of preschool children using a creative and age-appropriate curriculum</li>
<li>Supervision of preschool children to ensure the health, welfare, and safety of all students</li>
<li>Support the physical, socio-emotional, and developmental needs of each child in the classroom</li>
<li>Demonstrate effective leadership among the classroom team</li>
<li>Demonstrate effective communication skills and positive interpersonal relations with children, families, colleagues, and community</li>
<li>Classroom management that fosters a consistent, safe, and positive learning environment for all students and staff</li>
</ul>
Requirements:
 Our ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of relevant experience and the following credentials/skills:
<ul>
<li>Candidates must have at least a Bachelor's degree in early childhood education (ECE) or a Bachelor's degree in an unrelated field + the MSDE 90hr Preschool/Infant/Toddler Certification.</li>
<li>Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and instructional strategies</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of MSDE regulations</li>
<li>A personal demeanor that is warm, friendly, and cool-tempered</li>
<li>Proficient technological skills including Microsoft Office is a plus</li>
<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including grammar and reading skills</li>
<li>Extremely reliable in attendance and punctuality</li>
<li>Highly organized and able to prioritize and multi-task</li>
<li>Team-oriented and willing to work with others</li>
</ul>
Per Maryland State Department of Education Office of Child Care regulations, all applicants must submit to and successfully pass a state and federal background check as a contingency of employment. Applicants for our federal center campuses must receive GSA-security clearance through a government background screening.
