Our client is seeking an HSE Advisor for their two state of the art research facilities in Cambridge, MA. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the health, safety and environmental (HSE) aspects for oil and gas related research laboratories in North America. This position will develop, implement, and monitor a centralized HSE function that includes processes and training programs that comply with corporate guidelines, federal/state/local regulations, and international best practices. The successful candidate will provide leadership, technical and regulatory expertise in the areas of environment, safety, health, occupational medical services, and emergency services and will also direct an effective research center environmental process capable of zero notices of violation for regulatory noncompliance and zero citations for safety and health regulatory compliance. This person also leads an effective safety and health process capable of zero occupational injuries and illnesses. Duties &amp; Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Plans, supports, and coordinates a variety of COMPANY safety projects &amp; programs, including but not limited to hazardous materials management, workplace safety committee setup and guidance, safety training curriculum development and delivery, emergency evacuation drills and safety inspection programs.</li>
<li>Measures airborne concentrations of airborne contaminants; using air sampling instruments and collection devices. Sample collection of potentially dangerous chemical, physical, and biological agents for analysis</li>
<li>Identifies and appraises loss potential conditions/practices and provides guidance/advice on methods, procedures, programs, or mechanisms to eliminate or reduce loss for the company.</li>
<li>Evaluate and ensures compliance to local and federal occupational health and safety regulations, laws, rules, and codes. Educates and informs employees on occupational health and safety hazards.</li>
<li>Conducts extensive personnel sampling; consults with corporate and external organizations concerning workplace health hazards and control options; applies scientific and engineering principles and methods to identify, analyze and control hazards; prepares technical reports; develops and presents training; and supports IH Programs and emergency responses.</li>
<li>Creates programs and practices as part of comprehensive safety programs to assure a safe, healthful, and compliant workplace.</li>
<li>Uses scientific methods and the latest research to collect identify and monitor toxic chemicals, noise, radiation, asbestos, lasers, indoor air pollution, stress, repetitive motion trauma, electric and magnetic fields, and infectious biological materials.</li>
<li>Performs hazard analysis and develops sampling and/or safety plans.</li>
<li>Inspects and evaluates work operations, production methods, and engineering controls to determine potential contaminant emission sources or related health hazards associated with workplace conditions.</li>
<li>Determines effectiveness of engineering control methods and makes recommendations regarding location, design, structure, operations, and maintenance of contaminant and physical agent control systems</li>
<li>Investigates adequacy of ventilation, exhaust, lighting, and other conditions that may affect employee health, comfort, or efficiency.</li>
<li>Develops and delivers educational training meetings on occupational health, safety, and environmental programs, including accident and pollution prevention programs.</li>
<li>Evaluates investigation findings, proposes corrective measures, in conformance with health, safety and environmental standards and regulations.</li>
<li>Consults with management, industrial engineers, employee representatives, and other agencies regarding industrial health problems and solutions.</li>
<li>Responds to emergencies and performs accident investigations. Prepares reports of observations and analyses and provides recommendations about industrial health issues. Develops corrective methods, controls, and procedures to improve work environment.</li>
<li>Champions the management of change processes to include guidance on hazard operability studies related to purpose build laboratory equipment.</li>

Education and Experience
<ul>
<li>B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Environmental Safety, Industrial Hygiene) and/or other closely related engineering major with relevance to HSE experience and certifications. Professional experience should include development, implementation and management of corporate health, safety, and environmental management systems.</li>
<li>Seven (7) years’ of HSE experience, preferably in the petrochemical or oil/gas industry.</li>
<li>Must be able to communicate and comprehend accurately, clearly, and concisely in English at a level required to perform the job as outlined. Strong communication &amp; presentation skills (oral and written) are required.</li>
<li>Must possess good work habits, a strong work ethic, and be able to adhere to company work hours, policies, and standard business etiquette. </li>

Other requirements:

<li>Extensive knowledge of industrial hygiene and loss prevention practices within laboratory environments dealing with hazards such as high pressure and high temperature systems, hydrocarbons, chemicals, X-ray, CT Scanning and Nano materials.</li>

<li>Proven ability to design, develop, implement, and administer professional-level industrial hygiene and safety programs that meet OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, NEC regulations and guidance.</li>

Job Description
Peterson Cat has the need for an experienced Power Safety Coordinator at our San Leandro, CA location. 
SUMMARY
The Power Safety Coordinator works closely with Peterson Power Systems to maintain good customer relations and ensuring that all employees are safe (developing, training, and enforcing that all safety procedures, laws and policies are observed). Previews projects and project sites before work begins to determine safety related risks. Works with the sales team, service management teams and field workers to develop and implement solutions to safety related issues on project sites. Implements a consistent process for recording, investigating, and reporting incidents (injuries, property damage, motor vehicle accidents and near misses) to develop the causes of the incident to put corrective actions in place to prevent any recurrence. Communicates to all Peterson employees through tailgate meetings, weekly recap emails, in-person, and Teams trainings, leading a weekly safety huddle with all leaders of Peterson as needed. Performs periodic reviews of incidents/injuries/near misses of all reports to identify trends. The Power Safety Coordinator is responsible for conducting, administering, and monitoring programs related to required safety training and PPE requirements.

Safety Department Program Responsibilities
Safety roles will support all business units of Peterson Holding (Peterson CAT, Peterson Trucks, Peterson Power Systems, SITECH and Building Point Pacific). This position will be the subject matter expert to the electrical side of our business with growth into the natural gas engines and turbines. Experience or safety knowledge of working with the utility company sites (inside and outside of the substations) needed. 
Make recommendations to service managers for employees and subcontractors who fail to comply with minimum safety standards. 
Works with the Safety team on program and project development, monitors progress and reports status. 
Supports the Safety team with new hire employee safety onboarding, including maintaining checklists and following up as necessary. 
Completes customer survey requests. 
Collaborates with management to develop an Emergency Action Plan. Participates in and leads emergency evacuation/take shelter drills and ensures that all locations are properly prepared for emergencies. 
Enhances our safety culture by bringing new ideas and equipment (products and gear) to the team so that employees are better protected and more efficient in their work. 
Travel is expected to be 25% - 75% of the time and includes out-of-territory. 
Supports Safety Committee meetings and activities. 
Provides training and certification for required safety training (e.g., MSHA, Arc Flash, forklift, Lockout Tagout and other work-related life critical safety needs). 
Acts as liaison with Peterson University (PU); creates safety training courses &amp; quizzes that need to be uploaded to the Peterson Success Center and ensures that the content is current. 
Manages third-party vendors including, but not limited to ISNetworld, Avetta, and Browse. 
Oversee corporate First Aid/CPR training compliance and expense reporting. 
Travels to various operating entities to assist with incident investigation, emergency preparedness planning and training as necessary.

MSRC is offering an immediate opportunity for a Health, Safety, Environmental Advisor (HSEA) based in Houston, TX.   We are seeking an energetic, resourceful, and qualified individual to work in our Houston, TX location. The HSEA position is part of the Gulf Leadership team and is responsible for implementing the MSRC HSE program, which encompasses health, safety, environment, security, and HSE training. The position is responsible for ensuring MSRC is in compliance with applicable federal and regional state HSE regulations and works closely with the Corporate HSEM for HSE guidance.    During responses, the Regional HSE Advisors are the MSRC designated Safety Officer(s) (SO) responsible for monitoring and evaluating all HSE aspects involved in emergency response related activities and/or natural disaster response activities, including the identification and evaluation of hazards. The SO provides overall direction and supervision with respect to the HSE requirements for MSRC and contractor’s working for MSRC emergency response personnel during a response. Additionally, the SO is responsible for emergency response training requirements, and coordination of all environmental compliance issues impacting MSRC’s response operations.    Key responsibilities of the position include:

<li> Administers and implements the MSRC HSE Program and enforces the HSE Safe Work Practices (SWP) in their respective region.</li>
<li>Makes recommendations to the Corporate HSEM concerning changes or additions to the SWP manual. </li>
<li>Promotes safe conditions at all region facilities, vessels; identify potentially unsafe conditions and hazards. Support site/vessel to resolve and implement corrective actions and track accordingly. </li>
<li>Proactively review and resolve HSE issues raised by employees and communicate as necessary HSE issues, corrective actions, etc. to the Corporate HSE Manager and/or regional management for resolution.</li>
<li>Audits and inspects MSRC’s HSE practices at regional sites to facilitate compliance with HSE laws and regulations; advises regional management of non-compliance and assists the responsible site in developing a compliance action plan.</li>
<li>Serves as the “Alternate Company Security Officer” in the Corporate HSEM’s absence for his/her respective region.</li>
<li>Advises regional management on HSE issues and concerns; addresses HSE problems and facilitates resolution.</li>
<li>Establishes and maintains relationships with state regulatory agencies as necessary.</li>
<li>Advises regional sites on federal and state HSE compliance issues.</li>
<li>Maintains knowledge of applicable final and proposed state HSE legislation and regulations and provides technical input on proposed rulemaking as appropriate</li>
<li>Provides technical assistance to the MSRC Response Team during spill responses</li>
<li>Tracks incidents. Investigates root causes of incidents as required. Reports findings, identifies, controls, and communicates the risks to personnel. Reviews accident and incident reports to ensure OSHA guidelines are followed. </li>
<li>Prepares HSE statistical reports for regional management and the Corporate HSEM.</li>
<li>Participates in and contributes to the HSE workgroup and reports back to regional Leadership. </li>
<li>Consults with MPA member clients and STAR contractors as appropriate.</li>
<li>Discusses issues and concerns with regional employees and resolves HSE issues in a timely fashion. </li>
<li>Assume responsibility for additional projects as needed. </li>

Qualifications/Requirements
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in health, safety, environment, or security study/science, business, or other related discipline preferred.</li>
<li>Five (5) years of progressive experience in oil spill or emergency response and/or relevant health, safety, environment, or security compliance.</li>
<li>Knowledge of applicable state regulations, and federal OSHA, EPA, Coast Guard, DOT, and Homeland/Maritime Security regulations.</li>
<li>Knowledge of HSE subjects, oil spill response equipment, training techniques, deployment techniques, exercise design, evaluation techniques.</li>
<li>Ability to interface with the public and appropriate government agencies.</li>
<li>Versed in the Incident Command System (ICS).</li>
<li>Ability to respond within the prescribed 2-hour recall in the event of an oil spill 24 hours a day anywhere MSRC is authorized to operate.  </li>
<li>Ability to travel and/or cascade to oil spill sites and other locations. </li>
<li>Proven leadership and interpersonal skills, as demonstrated by positions of progressive responsibility. </li>
<li>Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize. </li>
