Danville Community College developed from two institutions, Danville Technical Institute and the Danville Division of Virginia Polytechnic Institute opened in 1936 as Danville Textile School, becoming Danville Technical Institute just after World War II. The Danville Division of Virginia Polytechnic Institute first began as an engineering division in 1946 and was later expanded to include the first two years of course work for all engineering, business administration, liberal arts, and science majors. Beginning in the summer of 1966, all programs taught by Danville Technical Institute were brought under the Virginia Department of Community Colleges. Effective July 1, 1968, the Danville Division of Virginia Polytechnic Institute merged with the existing community college providing the comprehensive programs now offered.
The primary responsibilities include instructing students, organizing and maintaining labs and lab equipment, recruiting and advising students, and assisting students with job placement. Teaching assignments may include day and evening classes for program-placed and non-program-placed students.

The Psychiatric Crisis Center has been working to expand by offering bilingual/bicultural services at our Woodburn office. The Mental Health Specialist in this position will provide crisis assessments to individuals in need as well as case management, resource identification, and referral options. This position will require a motivated individual to learn about the available community services to provide mental health well-being. The individual in this position will possess a desire to be creative in matching individuals to available services while educating the community about the various services we provide at the Crisis Center. This position provides services to monolingual Spanish-speaking individuals; therefore, fluent bilingual Spanish/English skills are required.
We offer the following recruitment bonus, prorated based on FTE:

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES Crisis Clinician 2: Provide assessments and treatment of individuals and families, including groups; provides crisis assessment and intervention services and related duties as required. Primary responsibility of this class is to provide assessment and treatment services; crisis intervention, and treatment services, including intensive services, to individuals and their families with complex needs and diagnoses and/or to develop and implement specific services in the community.
Crisis Clinician 1: Plans and carries out recreational, social and skills training activities; performs case management and counseling functions with Adults in Custody (AIC); facilitates counseling and/or skills training groups; performs related duties as required. Primary responsibility of this class is case management and counseling, without responsibility for developing and implementing specific programs in the community.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED Crisis Clinician 2 and 1: Works under the supervision of a supervisor who assigns work, establishes goals, and reviews the results obtained for overall effectiveness.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED Crisis Clinician 2 and 1: Supervision of others is not a responsibility of positions in this classification. Crisis Clinician 2 may act as Clinical Supervisor designee when needed. May assist in the supervision of practicum students and/or volunteers.
Typical Duties - Duties include, but are not limited to the following
Counseling to Crisis Clients: Provide counseling by telephone or in-person to individuals and/or their families or concerned others. Intervene with both children and adults. Presenting problems covering the full range of personal needs and include thoughts/plans or violence toward others, and major psychiatric illness. Because of the wide spectrum of presenting problems, it is necessary to have a comprehensive knowledge of psychopathology and to be able to draw upon a wide range of therapeutic strategies in counseling. This work is done at two different locations each day (at the Salem Hospital Emergency Dept. and at PCC), so driving is required.
Assessment of Mental Status: Perform independent assessment of mental status, diagnosis, level of functioning, dangerousness, and specific needs for service. Screen individual for psychiatric hospitalization.
Planning Development: Develop plan with client/family to address immediate needs and plans to obtain services. If client is unwilling to seek services, make decisions regarding involuntary commitment based on dangerousness and ability to care for self.
Community Coordination: Maintain current knowledge of, and contact with, community agencies in order to make referrals appropriately. See that clients gain access to the services they need, and do follow-up work as needed, to make certain that client's needs are being met.

<li>Advocacy for Client's Rights: Provide advocacy for client rights, ethical consideration, needs for service and least restrictive care-intervention.</li>
<li>Requests for information: Respond to requests for information regarding clients not currently in the CSS, requiring a thorough knowledge of laws governing the release of confidential information.</li>
<li>Attend monthly PCC team meeting.</li>
<li>Perform other job duties as assigned by your supervisor. </li>

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
<li>Possession of a Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Recreational Therapy, Music Therapy, Art Therapy or a behavioral science field, or possession of a bachelor's degree in Nursing and licensed by the State of Oregon, or possession of a bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy and licensed by the State of Oregon; OR second year graduate students waivered as QMHP's by the Oregon Health Authority.</li>
<li>Crisis Clinician 2 Only: In addition to the educational requirements above, the Crisis Clinician 2 must have at least one year of full-time, post-Master's degree experience in the behavioral health field.</li>
PREFERENCES Preference will be awarded to candidates who are LCSW, CSWA or eligible for LCSW. Qualified candidates will be eligible for licensure supervision if hired.
AUTO-PROMOTE AND SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF CLASSIFICATION Individuals hired as a Crisis Clinician 1 will auto-promote, as noted in Article 4 in the Marion County personnel rules, to the classification of Crisis Clinician 2 upon satisfactorily completing one-year, post master's degree, of service as a Crisis Clinician 1. (One-year of work experience is equal to 2080 hours)

The Marion County Crisis Center provides 24-hour, 7-day-a-week walk-in mental health services to the greater Salem area and all of Marion County. The Crisis Clinician provides crisis mental health assessments to individuals in need as well as brief case management, resource identification, and referral options. Crisis mental health treatment may be conducted at our crisis center and occasionally in hospital settings. Training will be provided on-the-job for those unfamiliar with crisis work.
This individual will be knowledgeable about the community options and services available. Specifically, this position will offer the opportunity to engage the Salem community in identifying services and resources that will support and empower clients in the community. This is a part-time position working 30 hours/week, Sunday - Tuesday, 8:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.
We offer the following recruitment bonus, prorated based on FTE:

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES Crisis Clinician 2: Provide assessments and treatment of individuals and families, including groups; provides crisis assessment and intervention services and related duties as required. Typical Duties - Duties include, but are not limited to the following
Counseling to Crisis Clients: Provide counseling by telephone or in-person to individuals and/or their families or concerned others. Intervene with both children and adults. Presenting problems covering the full range of personal needs and include thoughts/plans or violence toward others, and major psychiatric illness. Because of the wide spectrum of presenting problems, it is necessary to have a comprehensive knowledge of psychopathology and to be able to draw upon a wide range of therapeutic strategies in counseling. This work is done at two different locations each day (at the Salem Hospital Emergency Dept. and at PCC), so driving is required.
Assessment of Mental Status: Perform independent assessment of mental status, diagnosis, level of functioning, dangerousness, and specific needs for service. Screen individual for psychiatric hospitalization.
Planning Development: Develop plan with client/family to address immediate needs and plans to obtain services. If client is unwilling to seek services, make decisions regarding involuntary commitment based on dangerousness and ability to care for self.
Community Coordination: Maintain current knowledge of, and contact with, community agencies in order to make referrals appropriately. See that clients gain access to the services they need, and do follow-up work as needed, to make certain that client's needs are being met.
Other:

<li>Advocacy for Client's Rights: Provide advocacy for client rights, ethical consideration, needs for service and least restrictive care-intervention.</li>

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
<li>Possession of a Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Recreational Therapy, Music Therapy, Art Therapy or a behavioral science field, or possession of a bachelor's degree in Nursing and licensed by the State of Oregon, or possession of a bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy and licensed by the State of Oregon; OR second year graduate students waivered as QMHP's by the Oregon Health Authority.</li>
<li>Crisis Clinician 2 Only: In addition to the educational requirements above, the Crisis Clinician 2 must have at least one year of full-time, post-Master's degree experience in the behavioral health field.</li>
PREFERENCES Preference will be awarded to candidates who are LCSW, CSWA or eligible for LCSW. Qualified candidates will be eligible for licensure supervision if hired.
AUTO-PROMOTE AND SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF CLASSIFICATION Individuals hired as a Crisis Clinician 1 will auto-promote, as noted in Article 4 in the Marion County personnel rules, to the classification of Crisis Clinician 2 upon satisfactorily completing one-year, post master's degree, of service as a Crisis Clinician 1. Marion County Health and Human Services is in search of an experienced Mental Health Skills Trainer to work with Adult Behavioral Health's Psychiatric Security Review Board (PSRB) team. The person hired will be located at our supportive housing site working with the residents residing there along with helping to maintain the home (monitoring/ordering supplies, organizing, cleaning, etc.). This is a part-time position working 33 hours per week and is eligible for employee benefits.
This team provides services to individuals who are diagnosed with serious mental health challenges and co-occurring substance use disorders who are under the jurisdiction of the PSRB. A Mental Health Skills Trainer on this team provides individual and group skills training, case management, and supervision and monitoring for individuals focused on daily living to maximize independence, community integration and recovery to support them in living their best lives possible. The ideal candidate would have the ability to come from a person-centered perspective while working with individuals who are mandated to engage in services, be able to work alone as well as with others, be a self-starter, communicate well with team members and have knowledge of the population we serve. 
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES Provides individual and group recreational, social and skills training services under a professionally developed service plan; keeps records of persons served status; performs service plan directed case management functions under close supervision; performs related duties as required. Primary responsibility of this class is to assist and support other mental health professionals, without primary responsibility for a caseload.

Provides behavioral health services to individuals with serious and persistent mental health conditions and co-occurring substance use disorders who are under the jurisdiction of the Psychiatric Security Review Board. Performs work using a person-centered, strengths-based, recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, culturally-sensitive, and ethically-guided approach while balancing requirements of individuals' conditional release orders and community safety.
Skills Training &amp; Case Management Provide social and skills training in accordance with the individualized service plan. Skills training areas include: activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IALDs), such as hygiene, medication management, grocery shopping, cooking, obtaining benefits, scheduling appointments, transportation, development of individuals' natural supports, community integration, etc. Skills training is provided in both individual and group formats.

PSRB Supervision and Monitoring Provide PSRB supervision and monitoring, per the PSRB's policies and procedures, to ensure individuals are in compliance with their conditional release orders and are able to be safely maintained in the community.

<li>Interact in-person with individuals to monitor for warning signs, symptom increases, and other signs of psychiatric decompensation. </li>
<li>Implement safety plans to mitigate risk. </li>
<li>Collect urinalysis. </li>
<li>Carry out any special monitoring according to individuals' conditional release agreements, per PSRB/ABH case monitor/treatment team, sex offender treatment safety plan or treatment team. </li>
<li>Communicate changes in psychiatric status, behaviors, or any concerns to the treatment team and clinical supervisor in a timely manner. </li>
</ul>
Supportive Housing
<ul>
<li>Maintain PSRB supportive housing setting. </li>
<li>Ensure residence &amp; office maintenance, cleanliness, and organization. </li>
<li>Monitor and order supplies. </li>
<li>Conduct monthly house meeting with residents to address any house needs.</li>
